Moreton Bay and Moreton Island
Moreton Island is the world's third largest sand island and is situated in the calm waters of Moreton Bay. Its a fantastic place to spend a weekend reading a book on the beach, diving at a wreck site, boating in the calm waters or having a cooling dip. As 95% of the island is National Park there's also some great walking tracks and sand toboganning sites. It's also one of the only places in the world where you can hand feed wild dolphins. As development on the island is so restricted there's only a few accommodation choices on offer. Enjoy a wonderfully relaxing weekend away as you explore Moreton Island and the bay.
