The Mansions, George Street
The Mansions on George Street are a set of six three storied terrace houses that are heritage listed. The buildings were built in 1889 during the Victorian era and were historically for people to live in. They are built from plain red bricks with cat sculptures on the building's parapet. The building is a beautiful site and one of Brisbane's most iconic buildings. One of the earliest residents of The Mansions was Queensland's first female doctor and Australia's first female surgeon, Dr Lillian Cooper.
