Scenic Drives in and around Brisbane

In Brisbane there are plenty of long and winding roads that provide the ideal environment for a relaxing scenic drive. It's definitely something that will bring out the 'Sunday Driver' in all of us. So drive carefully and take the time to enjoy the scenery whilst escaping the clutches of the city!

Some of the best scenic driving experiences are outlined below to give you a taste of what to expect:

Mount Nebo Road

This drive winds through a beautiful eucalypt forest fringing the Brisbane Forest Park and continues through Mount Nebo on to Mount Glorious. Along the way you'll encounter lookouts so why not get out, have a stretch and soak in the serenity.

The Northbrook Parkway

The Northbrook Parkway drive continues through Mt Glorious and links the Brisbane Forest Park with the eastern shore of Lake Wivenhoe.

Sir Samuel Griffith Drive

The Samuel Griffith Drive utilises the close positioning of Mt Coot-tha to Brisbane City. This enables a beautiful city view by day and a colourful cityscape by night.

Mount Mee Road

Head north-west from Brisbane through the lush green countryside of Samford, Samsonvale and Dayboro north towards D'Aguilar and be taken through some beautiful scenery, winding mountain roads and fertile farmland.

Go for a drive outside of Brisbane

Blackall Range Tourist DriveThe Gold and Sunshine Coasts also offer up some beautifully scenic roads around the hinterland and coastline, taking you through National Parks, vineyards and some incredible vantage points.
