North Brisbane Accommodation - Hotels, Motels, Apartments & More

If you’re looking to stay in Brisbane but wanting to keep your distance from the rush of the city, there are some wonderfully relaxed areas in North Brisbane that still have easy access to Brisbane city.

Caboolture was once a large dairy farm and though it’s been urbanised, the town has managed to maintain its relaxed country atmosphere. Mt Mee State Forest Park is nearby offering some great bushwalking tracks and breathtaking lookouts while the township is home to a number of historic museums.

The Redcliffe Peninsula was Queensland’s first European settlement and still honours that heritage with the annual First Settlement Festival that includes a re-enactment of the first landing at the jetty. The peninsula attracts residents and visitors to its 22km of coastline for boating, swimming and unbeatable fishing. On a clear day if you look up to the sky you’ll see skydivers dropping from 14,000 feet to land on the sandy Suttons Beach.

The Redcliffe area also acts as a service centre for the Moreton Bay Island communities. There are passenger ferries that can take visitors to the islands for the day or overnight stays while charter boats offer scinic and fishing trips, snorkelling and diving adventures.

Trains and buses run from both areas into Brisbane city regularly and are close to the highway, leaving the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast nothing more than an hour and a half drive away.
