Turbine Jazz: Abbreviations Orchestra

For this special Queensland Music Festival performance, the Abbreviations Orchestra offers up an abbreviated history of jazz – Miles Davis, Scott Joplin, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Thelonious Monk and much more – all in one show.

With wild harmonies, intricate counterpoints and thrilling improvisations, the band brings an orchestral conception to small group jazz that is bound to keep the most inquisitive musical minds fully stimulated. Abbreviations Orchestra features Andrew Garton, Dan Quigley, Joe Roberts, Brodie McAllister, Lachlan Bell, Andrew Shaw and Nathan Goldman.
