Toowoomba Kokoda Challenge
Get a team together with friends, family, workmates, sports or school mates and challenge yourself! Have an office or business rivalry to settle? Enter a team in the Hutchinson Builders Corporate Challenge and throw down the gauntlet! This is your chance to work together and create a team-building experience like no other!
Teams of 2, 3 or 4 must complete the course together in honour of the spirit forged on the Kokoda Track in 1942: courage, endurance, mateship and sacrifice.
School teams have the chance to pit themselves against others in their region in the 15km School Challenge or the prestigious 30km George Palmer Cup. The schools competition provides a break from traditional school sports where teachers barrack from the sidelines– as each 5-person team is required to have one teacher join them on the trek.
The 15km or 30km distance coupled with wide open fire trails makes this the perfect event for beginners, competitors training for The Kokoda Challenge on the Gold Coast, or runners having a hit-out.
A taste of the course… the steep climb up the picturesque Redwood Forest Walk peaking at Prince Henry Heights will test your stamina before you plunge down the northern side into Jubilee Park. A checkpoint at the base starts the leg burning return journey back up the escarpment to Webb Park…
By raising money for the Toowoomba Kokoda Challenge you are helping to change young lives and ensuring Aussie teenagers access to a brighter future for themselves, their families, and the greater community.
