The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane

 

The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane is on again and is set to be bigger and better than ever as it celebrates its 15th year.

 

Join in because with every step and with every stride you will be helping raise funds for Legacy in Queensland.

 

This year’s event has a limited capacity so hurry and register so you don’t miss out!

 

This event is for all ages and fitness levels, you don’t have to be an elite athlete to partake. Just choose between a 10km or 5km course and we will see you at the finish line.

The 10km course will commence from the Sir Leo Hielscher Bridge - South (formerly Gateway Bridge), Murrarie and finish at the RNA Showgrounds.

The 5km course will commence from Remora Road, Hamilton and also finishes at the RNA Showgrounds, where participants can relax with friends and family and explore the race village as it comes alive with expo stalls, food vendors and entertainment.

Start training with the The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane

10-week challenge!

 

Get ready for race day with The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bridge to Brisbane 10-Week Challenge. Commencing Tuesday 5 July, the 10-Week Challenge is a fun way to get fit and avoid those post-race aches and pains. Whether you’re aiming to lose weight, increase your fitness level, achieve a personal best time or just have fun, the 10-Week Challenge is the ideal preparation for anyone competing in the event.

 

The 10-Week Challenge training program for 2011 has been devised by Matt Lyne and Renae Jones, Head Coaches of Brisbane Run Squad. The program caters for both beginner and experienced runners competing in the 10km and 5km course. You can find the training program and nutritional tips in The Sunday Mail each week leading up to race day.

 

A series of free training session will also be available for those in Brisbane. Starting at the Ship Inn, South Bank and New Farm Park, the sessions will run three times a week from Tuesday 5 July to Saturday 10 September. There’s no need to book, just choose a training session to suit your fitness level and turn up.
