The Kids' Cancer Project - The Better Challenge
The Kids' Cancer Project is honouring children with cancer and the community supporting them with the return of their annual fundraising campaign, 'The Better Challenge', throughout September. Participants of the challenge are encouraged to run, walk or roll 90kms in the month of September. The number 90 is representative of the 90 children who are diagnosed with cancer every month in Australia, as well as the 90% of children who receive cancer treatments and are left with lasting health issues resulting from the toxicity in current cancer treatments. After an incredibly successful inaugural year in 2021, the Kids' Cancer Project aims to double the donations for The Better Challenge in 2022 and get all participants active and outdoors. Funds raised will go towards expanding the breadth of scientists and research projects that investigate childhood cancer treatment options and aim to deliver better health outcomes for kids with cancer.
