The Big Scout Adventure supporting Hummingbird House
Join Scouts Qld in the fun of The Big Scout Adventure and support Hummingbird House, Queensland’s only children’s hospice, on Saturday 22 July at Seventh Brigade Park, (near Kidspace), Chermside from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
Scouts Qld and Crime Stoppers will be running some engaging and free, fun filled, activities for the families and members of the public. Enjoy a quick bite with some trendy food trucks including The Bun Mobile, That Greek Truck, Coco Whip and Hummingbird House will hold a Sausage Sizzle.
Hummingbird House provides short break stays, family wellbeing services, creative therapies, and care at the end of life, for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
“We invite everyone to ‘try Scouting’ and help us to raise awareness of the vital service that Hummingbird House does for families in need. This community event assists our young people to understand the value of supporting the community by providing a service opportunity” said Daryl G. Scott, Chief Commissioner.
Scouting is a worldwide movement that has shaped the development of youth and adults for more than 100 years. Scouts are in every part of our community and provide young people aged 6 to 25 with fun and challenging opportunities to grow through adventure.
Come and join us for a fun filled day out!
