The Big Scout Adventure supporting Hummingbird House
Scouts Queensland are proud to be providing The Big Scout Adventure supporting Hummingbird House, Queensland’s only children’s hospice, on Saturday 20 May at Seventh Brigade Park, (near Kidspace), Chermside.
Hummingbird House provides short break stays, family wellbeing services, creative therapies, and care at the end of life, for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
Scouts from across Brisbane will provide engaging and free, fun filled, activities for the families of the guests that use Hummingbird House from 10.00am to 3.00pm as well its open to the public
“We invite everyone to ‘try Scouting’ and help us to raise awareness of the vital service that Hummingbird House does for families in need” said Daryl G. Scott, Chief Commissioner. This community event assists our young people to understand the value of supporting the community by providing a service opportunity” said Daryl G. Scott, Chief Commissioner.
Scouting is a worldwide movement that has shaped the development of youth and adults for more than 100 years. Scouts are in every part of our community and provide young people aged 6 to 25 with fun and challenging opportunities to grow through adventure.
It is hoped that this community event will become an annual event.
