SLiQ Flicks: Sunday Free Films - April

Occurs every week on Sunday

Every Sunday from 2pm watch a free film, as part of State Library of Queensland’s SLiQ flicks: Sunday free films program. In April, SLiQ flicks present films exploring the new world of technology — how has it changed us, and how do we relate to each other in a world where the basic act of communication shifts like water around us?

6 Apr we have Upstream Color (M), a tale of strangers falling in love from forces unknown, 13 Apr is Cosmopolis (MA15+) author Don DeLillo’s study of collapse and re-birth in the world of high-end corporate trading as adapted by legendary director David Cronenberg, 20 Apr Antiviral (MA15+), where sharing the diseases of the famous is the new status symbol and 27 April is Viewer’s choice: options include Videodrome (R18+, 1983, 87min), THX1138  (PG, 1971, 86min) and Blow Out (M, 1981, 107min).
