Shibori describes a traditional tie-dyeing technique used in Japan which dates back to the 8th century. Shibori involves a range of folding, stitching, binding, twisting and compressing of cloth to result in varying resist patterns. In this workshop, we’ll show you how to prepare and store an indigo vat, and teach you some basic Shibori techniques so that you can make your own designs to take home.
