Quirky Inventions from Queensland's Convict and Colonial Past
On 22 April, as part of Australian Heritage Week, the Royal Historical Society of Queensland (RHSQ) is hosting an Open Day at the Commissariat Store, a museum built by convicts. The theme is "Quirky Inventions from Queensland's Convict and Colonial Past", and the day will feature short talks, live music and tours of the museum which will appeal to both history buffs and the wider community.
The day runs from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Talks will take place in the morning between 10am and 12 noon, followed by a band from 12.30pm to 2pm, and talks and a book launch in the afternoon.
