Queensland Museum & Sciencentre Reopening!

The Queensland Museum and Sciencentre will be reopening on the 20th of January – the day of our 150th birthday.

To celebrate this extraordinary milestone, we’ll be running a special, three day program full of events, activities and performances for all ages over three days, from the 20th to the 22nd of January. The full schedule is available on our website.

Arts Minister Rachel Nolan will be cutting our 150th birthday cake before reopening the doors to the Museum and Sciencentre at 9.30am. This will also be the first opportunity to see the results of our $14.3 million refurbishment (although work on the café and Whale Mall is expected to continue into February).
