Philip Brophy: De-signing Film Scores

Join Philip Brophy —musician, composer, sound designer and filmmaker —at State Library of Queensland as he discusses the creative process of film scoring, creative collaboration and navigating challenges within the film industry.

Using his own work as examples, together you will explore alternate ways of setting up a dialogue with a director and working on the music before the film is shot. This talk will also include an audience question time.

Following the talk, Philip will be performing a live score to Andy Warhol’s silent film series ‘Kiss’.
