Brisbane is home to a variety of live music and entertainment in a number of venues across the city, along with some major festivals, carnivals, sporting and community events that everyone will enjoy. To see what's on in Brisbane this month, browse through the list of events below. Peaks to Points Festival Family Day

Held at the Oxley Creek Common, Rocklea on Sunday 31 July from 10am to 4pm, the day offers all sorts of family activities to celebrate the environment.
Sustainability guru, Roman Spur will be hosting workshops on Wicked Wicking and Food Fermentation. In the Wicked Wicking workshop, Roman will create a wicking pot from up-cycled material. Children will take home a pot made from recycled materials and a plant.
In the food fermentation workshop, Roman will demonstrate how to make and prepare sauerkraut, kombucha, kefir, yoghurt and cheese.
Young gardeners can also get their hands dirty with Little Green Thumbs, as they plant their own vegetable seedling and learn how to care for herbs and vegies. Each child takes home a seedling.
The Bugs Ed display is an interactive experience featuring amazing displays of insects, spiders and scorpions from around the world, plus live Australian insects.
Also check out the thrilling ExpressiveBikes Trials Show, displays of historic army jeeps and electric cars and farm animals on show by students from Corinda State High School. Meet the members of local environment and community groups at the information stalls, and learn more about how you can support them.
Enjoy live music by Diddly Squat, and the range of food and drinks for sale.
