Off the grid – think tank/meet-up
Occurs every week on Friday
Spice up your Friday night at ‘Off the grid’, where you need to think big, bold and outside-the-box. Ditch the instruction manual and dive straight into doing.
Held at State Library of Queensland, it’s a social soiree meets design studio, meets think tank – served with a side of real-time collaborative place making.
Considering our collective failures and triumphs over the decades, explore how Brisbane’s identity as a city has evolved and how it might look in the future.
In this thought-provoking workshop/meet-up you’ll be challenged to get hands-on and build your vision for a more vibrant and sustainable future, using recycled materials courtesy of Reverse Garbage.
A cash-bar will be available throughout the evening. Attend one of the two sessions available: Fri 18 or 25 Jul.
This event is part of State Library’s ‘Hot Modernism’ program – unearthing the stories of Queensland’s mid-century architecture. For full program details visit www.slq.qld.gov.au/hot-modernism.
