My Love Had A Black Speed Stripe

FRACTAL THEATRE PRODUCTIONS, Company in Residence Studio 188,  Ipswich Festival and Anywhere Festivals Brisbane,Parramattaand Frankston present:

MY LOVE HAD A BLACK SPEED STRIPE by Henry Williams, adapted and directed by Brenna Lee-Cooney

"hilarious and disturbing' 'richly rewarding' 'a rambunctious adaptation of the novel'

With Sandro Colarelli Zoe DePlevitz Beth Incognito, and Vanja Matula

Dance, mime, circus and music meet urban car-porn poetry. The Fractal House Style of 'movement, poetic text and music' was never more vibrant, real, funny, and thrillingly dark.

MY LOVE HAD A BLACK SPEED STRIPE explores a quintessentially Australian suburban reality that we prefer to overlook, that we'd like to think was a relic of the past - but for anyone who has stepped outside the trendy leafy inner suburbs is well aware exists and is both endearingly funny and bleakly terrifying.

Ron's philosophies on life, women, materialism, politics and immigration were never more ironically relevant.

‘We laugh at Ron because we know men like Ron. We dismiss men like Ron. But when a man like Ron becomes angry, his bigoted comments and actions take on a darker tone.’ LindenGeorge – The Blurb
