Mother's Day High Tea at The Barracks
The Barracks are again hosting their lavish high tea at Palace Cinemas this Mother’s Day May 13th which includes a screening of the anticipated comedy The Five-Year Engagement.
The upstairs of the Palace Barracks Cinema will be transformed into an elegantly adorned high tea affair, allowing guests to take in panoramic views of Brisbane city while enjoying a myriad of traditional high tea delicacies.
This will be the third Mother’s Day high tea hosted by The Barracks and the Marketing Manager, Stefanie Junni, is thrilled the event has become an annual occurrence.
Upon arrival, all guests will be treated to a glass of Prosecco before being seated for a traditional high tea.
Tiers of scones with jam and cream, finger sandwiches, tartlets and macaroons from French Twist, and Bittersweet’s decadent double chocolate cup cakes will be on offer. Pots of both Earl Grey and English Breakfast tea will be served throughout the event.
After the high tea, guests will experience a screening of the comedy The Five Year Engagement from the producer of Bridesmaids. The comedy follows the ups and down of a couple between popping the question and tying the knot.
To top off this afternoon of indulgence, lucky chair prizes will be drawn after the high tea.
