Mitchie Fest 2012 - Medieval Madness
Can’t handle the crowds of massive festivals? Then come along to our Medieval Day on Saturday 20th October 2012 from 2-8pm. It’s a fantastic opportunity have a tour through Medieval camps and chat to re-enactors, watch some Maypole & Morris Dancing, Medieval Fashion Parades, Cooking Demonstrations & Live Music only 8km from Brisbane’s CBD. You can even have a laugh & join in the Tug of War competition against some of our local Politicians and the kids can join in on the Knight’s Training School, Rides, Medieval-style games or take their photo in Medieval Dress. A lantern & dragon parade followed by Fire Performers is set to mesmerize the crowd with a 30 minute display to finish off the night by 8pm.
Great food (including Gluten-free & Meat-less options), ATM and EFTPOS, Toilets & Nappy change/Feeding areas will be available on site. Fancy dress is not essential but will add to the atmosphere if you can join in. Many free or low cost activities are scheduled – with a castle-making competition & lantern parade open to all.
