Meet Susan Cottrell Influential USA Speaker on LGBTQ Families

Dymocks Brisbane presents Susan Cottrell, the most prominent voice in the United States for faith parents of LGBTQ children. Susan will be promoting her book Mom, I'm Gay - Loving Your LGBTQ Child Without Sacrificing Your Faith.

She is a speaker, teacher, theologian and counselor with years of biblical study and discipleship experience. Susan champions the LGBTQ community and families with her characteristic tender-heartedness, and she zealously challenges people who reject them with her wise insistence that love—of God and others—is the foundation of faith.

PFLAG is an international peer support group that has been operating in Australia for over 30 years. There are groups in all States of Australia operating independently and at different strengths. All groups are 100% voluntary, have no political bias and are non-religious. As part of a national group in Australia, we feel we have a stronger voice, allowing us to speak out against the discrimination, injustice, homophobia and transphobia that still exists in society today. PFLAG Brisbane operates under the auspice of the Queensland AIDS Council.

GCN Brisbane (part of the worldwide Gay Christian Network). A group of Christians of all ages and denominations.GCN is committed to helping those who are reconciling their faith and sexuality, and to providing a social network to Christians who are sexually and gender diverse.

Metropolitan Community Church (MCC). MCC Brisbane mission is to provide a welcoming and sensitive worship environment:
Express the reconciliation between God and the world, including the LGBTIQ community
Encourage each other to grow in faith
Foster involvement in social justice.

This FREE event is open to the public. Susan will be signing copies of her book straight after her presentation. Her book will be available at Dymocks Brisbane at the Event. Pre Orders of her book are welcome.
