Le Vent Du Nord

Internationally adored Quebec folk outfit Le Vent Du Nord presents their repertoire of original music and traditional French songs. Since its 2002 founding, the quartet has become one of the leading exponents of Quebec’s culture, having given more than 1000 concerts worldwide. The talented singers/ multi-instrumentalists have racked up several prestigious awards; two Junos (Canada’s Grammys), and three Canadian Folk Music Awards including Ensemble of the Year in 2010. Their current show, based on the awardwinning album Tromper le temps, draws together the scattered sounds of Acadian blues, New Orleans-style brass and Francophone resistance with a powerful vocal ensemble and a shifting cast of instruments.
