Kids Medieval Fun Day
The Kids’ Medieval Fun Day is an initiative of the Abbey Medieval Festival which brings to life the colour, excitement and celebration of Medieval Europe in one action-packed day. Held on Tuesday the 3rd of July, the Kids’ Medieval Fun Day is full of activities and workshops designed not only to entertain, but educate kids about life in the Middle Ages. Musicians, dancers and puppeteers from across Australia come together in a vibrant and fun atmosphere that immerses and embraces the audience.
Kids are invited to participate in medieval games (Skittles, Quoits, Tug o’ War), storytelling and stilt walking. Enjoy a selection of food and drink, or even bring your own picnic, and relax while your kids experience great entertainment with puppet shows, camel rides, trebuchet firing, Medieval Dog Tales and a chance for your children to dress up in a real suit of armour!
Specialist workshops are also available, starting from just $1 per child! Workshops include Middle Eastern Dancing, Junior Jousting, Flower Garland Making, Knights Training School, Create a Sword, Drum Beat Workshops, Peg Doll Making, Henna Hand Art, Youth Tournament, Gypsy Dancing, Archery and lots, lots more!
