Jingle Belles: An End of Year Comedy Party
Forget the awkward small talk with colleagues, instead laugh yourself into silly season when "Jingle Belles: An End of Year Comedy Party" descends upon The Loft in West End on November 17th at 8:00 PM. This uproarious event, headlined by award-winning musical comedian Jenny Wynter, boasts a lineup of Brisbane's best comedy talent, including Mercedes De Luca-Jones and 80s dance powerhouse Neridah Waters.
Prep your pelvic floors for a night of side-splitting comedy antics which put the “silly” in “silly season” and cap off the year in style.
Jenny Wynter, known as Brisbane’s own “songbird and improvisational Queen” is set to headline, with her warm audience interaction and spontaneous songs creating a night never to be repeated.
Accompanying Jenny are some of Queensland’s finest comedic talents, including the incredibly funny Mercedes De Luca-Jones aka The Really Real Housewife of Surfers Paradise and the master of high-energy dance comedy and founder of the iconic Common People Dance Project, Neridah Waters.
While “Jingle Belles” promises to be an inclusive and uproarious night for laughter lovers of all backgrounds, creator Jenny Wynter says the original inspiration was to create an “end of year staff party vibe for mothers”.
“I love any excuse for a party, but it occurred to me long ago the injustice of mums missing out on the end-of-year staff party experience,” says Jenny. “I mean, we need the opportunity to photocopy our body parts and overshare wildly with mild acquaintances as much as anybody. Probably moreso.”
She hastens to add: “We probably won’t have a photocopier.”
