Ikebana Sculptures: Japanese Inspired Art Workshop
In this workshop participants use natural materials with paper, ink or paint to create artworks based on the design principles of the ancient art of Ikebana – line, space and balance.
The workshop is facilitated by Brisbane-based visual artist, Lily Karmatz. Ms Karmatz has taught Ikebana at the Brisbane Institute of Art and at other public venues for over ten years. She runs Ikebana workshops for Councils and Artists’ Retreats in Esk, Queensland, and has been commissioned to create Ikebana displays and installations for offices, special events and art exhibitions.
This workshop is presented by Flying Arts, and has a specific focus on professional development for arts educators.
