High School Musical

YPAQ   (Youth Performing Arts Qld) is taking an energetic
set of youth actors back to school over the  holidays.  These kids are not complaining though…………   it’s their chance at playing  Troy, Sharpay and Gabrielle  - just a number of the engaging characters  we’ve grown to love in the  Disney Channel’s  High School Musical productions.

YPAQ ‘s aim is to raise the profile of youth theatre here in
Brisbane and maximising opportunities for talented young performers to participate in professional theatre projects.

Started by Nella Alba-Calabrese only 2 years ago, and run by
a creative team of practising Industry professionals,  YPAQ is now  leading the way in the development of  youth theatre
here in Brisbane.  Artistic Director and seasoned performer Nick Hollamby leads a highly skilled team;   Matilda Nominee Vocal Director Alex Feifers,  well known actor  Performance Director Cienda McNamara and spirited  choreographer Amy Green amongst others.

High School Musical will highlight the talents of local youth actors as well as singers, dancers and production crews.

Don’t miss the rivalry, tension, exaltation and foot  stomping  music as YPAQ takes you back to high school where the social cliques, drama queens and sports jocks jostle for position to win a place in the drama club.

Playing at the old QLD Museum Gregory Tce Bowen Hills  19/01/13
at 3pm and 7pm.
