Henzell Street Quilters

The humble quilt is a universally functional object that conjures up memories of comfort and security. Often exchanged amongst family members and friends and created in the home, quilts can hold personal histories and untold stories. The quilts presented in this exhibition are exquisitely crafted by the Henzell Street Quilters Group.  This group of skilled women creates quilts that extend beyond functional objects that, through a diverse use of craft technique and skill, become artworks in their own right. This is a non-competitive member’s showcase exhibition.
