If you know of an event that should be listed here, submit it to the site for free! To submit your event, register first and once you are logged in proceed to add a new event. All events submitted go through a screening process and will need to be approved before becoming visible on the site.


Government House Open Day 2013

Her Excellency Ms Penelope Wensley AC, Governor of Queensland, and Mr Stuart McCosker invite you to an Open Day at Government House in celebration of Queensland Day.

  • Community fair of Queensland volunteer and community organisations with displays and activities
  • Enjoy musical entertainment
  • Walk through heritage listed Government House, with Volunteer Guides on hand to answer your questions (obtain your free ticket from the signposted ticket booth on arrival)
  • Guided tours of the formal and historic gardens and bushland
  • Bring a picnic to enjoy on the lawns or purchase your refreshments
  • Free off-site parking available at Norman Buchan Park (cnr Baroona and Rainworth Roads, Paddington)
  • Free regular shuttle service from Norman Buchan Park to Government House
  • On-site parking not available
