Extraordinary Science @ ESP
The Ecosciences Precinct is opening its doors to showcase its extraordinary science. There is a lot on offer for the general public including hands-on experiments for the kids, live demonstrations from the CSIRO Education team, and guided tours of ESP, SCINEMA film screenings and real scientists to meet, greet and see what they actually do. Dr Rob from SCOPE will also make a special appearance with some great demonstrations to wow and amaze!
The Ecosciences Precinct is home to over a 1000 scientists from CSIRO and Queensland Government. Research at the Precinct is leading the way in finding the balance between enhancing our quality of life and reducing the human impact on our environment. Some of the areas of research include; a scientific look at the life and love of weeds; beating the bugs in grain storage; reducing cattle emissions; preserving the loggerhead turtle and improving tiger prawn farming.
