Golden Pig invites you to spend an afternoon relaxing in good company with stunning food and wines sourced from South Australia’s, Clare Valley and its surrounds, at the upcoming Kilikanoon Spring Event on Saturday 15 October from 1.00pm. This event promises to deliver an opportunity to feast, sip and indulge on a selection of fresh culinary delights matched to a collection of award-winning Kilikanoon Wines, all backed by the smooth tunes of notable jazz musician Dan Quigley’s, DQ Jazz Trio. The Golden Pig is situated within a fabulous light-filled, open plan, warehouse in the inner city suburb of Newstead. Owner and head chef of the Golden Pig, Katrina Ryan say’s “This is another of our chilled and laid back afternoons, tasting wine and learning about its origins, feasting on superb produce and listening to cool jazz.” The Clare Valley is widely known for its outstanding wine growing region and superb artisan producers. Katrina has sourced some of SA’s finest produce to create a sensational spring lunch featuring highlights - Slow Cooked Bultara Saltbush Lamb Shoulder, Kinkawooka Mussels, high quality, hand-made, fresh seasonal cheeses from Woodside Cheese Wrights and Mclaren Vale olives and olive oil. Guests will be treated to a spectacular collection of Kilikanoon Wines throughout the afternoon -featuring Sparkling Vouvray on arrival, Morts Riesling, Skilly Pinot Gris, Rose, Prodigal Grenache, Blocks Rd Cabernet Sauvignon and Covenant Shiraz.
