Crush Festival Exhibition: #Tag and Release
#tag and release is an exhibition showcasing the emerging artistic talent of the Bundaberg Region.
Straight from the Bundaberg CRUSH Festival on the central coast, this exhibition has been produced with the help of the Flying Arts Curator by Request program.
Brisbane-based senior curator and critical writer Beth Jackson was engaged to mentor and workshop the exhibition with a group of artists from the Bundaberg region. After showing at the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery, #tag and release will travel to the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Art.
The earth and its living inhabitants are finite resources with incredible innate capacities to renew and evolve. The #tag and release exhibition will assist us to recover histories, connect to place, ask tricky questions, make new beginnings, retrieve the corrupted, explore the unwanted and hopefully be surprised.
The exhibition includes works by Ariella Anderson, Paul Beutel, Meredyth Castro, Julie Hylands, Jeremy Kiraly, Sabrina Lauriston, Marlies Oakley, Paul Perry and Kathleen Valks.
