Brisbane is home to a variety of live music and entertainment in a number of venues across the city, along with some major festivals, carnivals, sporting and community events that everyone will enjoy. To see what's on in Brisbane this month, browse through the list of events below. BrisBricks Pine Rivers LEGO® Fan Expo 2016

Come on a LEGO® adventure in Pine Rivers on June 4-5 at the Strathpine Community Centre. Last year thousands of Pine Rivers locals and the greater Brisbane community enjoyed the many creations on display, so this year club members of BrisBricks will not disappoint with one of the biggest and best LEGO train displays in the country!

Great Scott! Fans will see an original design replica train No. 131 as seen in Back to the Future #3 made from LEGO “puffing” around the track, and as Dr Brown says: “when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour... you're gonna see some serious…. “ Will it make it? Will it send the Delorean Back to the future! You’ll have to come to the show to find out!

But that’s not all; there will be interactive displays, LEGO Star Wars, Classic Space, replica model cars, a LEGO Friends Heartlake camping adventure, and the infamous Great Ball Contraption! There will also be a LEGO play area for kids, retailers including pre-loved pick a brick, Jewellery made from LEGO, food provided by the local scout group, plus much more. And bonus Parking is FREE!

At the Expo patrons will enjoy:

  • Amazing fan built LEGO creations and set displays

  • Star Wars® - Redback 501st Garrison and Tatooine Rebel Base clubs

  • LEGO play area

  • LEGO Monster Trucks interactive display

  • Charity raffle with LEGO prizes

  • Specialist LEGO retailers, face painting handmade jewellery and more.

 

There is also a BrisBricks Creative Builder Competition for the kids. They simply need to take a photo of themselves with their best original LEGO creation and email the picture to mailto:photo@brisbricks.orgwith the entry form. Entries close 22 May 2016 and forms are available via www.brisbricks.org.

(These sessions are designed for children and adults that require a quieter, low lighting event with special considerations made for the Autistic Community: please book this session if this suits your family requirements. Book early to avoid disappointment as this session has less tickets available to accommodate the above needs).
