Brisbane River Clean-up Event
Everyone is invited to help clear rubbish along the Brisbane river!
By removing the rubbish from the mangroves we can ensure it doesn’t end up in the ocean. We will also be entering data on what we find into the Australian Marine Debris Initiative, so we can continue to prevent this rubbish at the source.
Volunteers need to wear enclosed shoes, bring sun/rain protection, and plenty of drinking water. We try to ensure that all Tangaroa Blue events are free from single-use plastic, so bring along your reusable water bottle. All equipment and drinking water top-ups will be provided.
This event is hosted by the Tangaroa Blue Foundation and is sponsored by Old Skipper.
The Tangaroa Blue Foundation is an Australia-wide not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the removal and prevention of marine debris: one of the major environmental issues worldwide.
Old Skipper brand is inspired by the materials used by the valiant men and women at sea. 20% of total sales from their 7Seas Collection (made out of recycled plastic bottles) are going to Tangaroa Blue Foundation.
