Brisbane Organic Growers Annual Fair
If you’re wondering how to garden organically or are perhaps curious about the benefits of eating organically, then come along to the Brisbane Organic Growers’ Fair on Sunday 12th October.
The fair spreads from the Albion Peace Hall, 102 McDonald Road Windsor, under the Albion overpass and into the neighbouring park, with produce stalls, demonstrations and information along with BOGI members available to answer all your organic queries. Clair Levander will be our keynote speaker, and North Pine Poultry Club will bring their rare poultry breeds.
After wandering around the stalls selling everything from seedlings to tools and tool sharpening, enjoy the home-made fare at the BOGI Cafe including freshly cooked organic sausages, quiches, salads, cakes, tea and coffee. Then check out the members’ produce entered into the BOGI Competition which showcases what can be achieved with organic methods.
Organic fertilisers, additives and pest solutions will be available from our BOGI Shop, with organic seeds including many heirloom varieties provided from our BOGI seed bank and from Eden Seeds. Organic gardening books will be on sale at the fair.
The fair is free and welcomes all comers, even if you have never turned a spade in your life. Come in for a look and stay for the day which concludes with the produce auction from 2.30 in the afternoon.
Brisbane Organic Growers Fair is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.
