Barracks Burlesque and Louboutins

Shoe lovers and fashionistas will join forces with The Barracks to raise much needed funds for Dress for Success Brisbane on Tuesday 16th April at Palace Cinemas.

The evening will begin with a French themed cocktail party with canapés and wine, followed by an exclusive screening of Christian Louboutin’s film Feu in 3D which was a hit at the French Film Festival.

In this exclusive event, guests will enjoy wine by the new Sirromet label ‘Secret Wine Business’.

French canapés will include pissaladiere, croque monsieur, vol-u-vants, pate, and small pikelets topped with salmon,crème fraiche and dill.

Fabulous raffle prizes have been donated by various retailers and sponsors to raise money for Dress for Success Brisbane. In addition to raffles, a silent auction will be held on the evening of a pair of purple suede Christian Louboutin shoes to the value of $1150 donated by Jean Brown.

Dress for Success Brisbane is a charity dedicated to promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, networks of support and career development tools to help women into the workforce.

Christian Louboutin, the celebrated designer behind the world-famous line of red-soled shoes, has teamed up with the legendary French cabaret institution, Crazy Horse Paris, to create FEU by Christian Louboutin.

Literally translated as ‘fire’, this filmed version of a live production is a sizzling collection of tableaux, mixing erotic cabaret with music, dance, masterpiece paintings, space-age chic and, of course, some seriously stylish footwear.

FEU by Christian Louboutin is the result of a unique collaboration between Louboutin, costumer Mark Fast and Crazy Horse choreographer, Patricia Folly. The music is by renowned filmmaker David Lynch and Swiss musician Swizz Beatz.

While Crazy Horse Paris has invited ‘guest creatures’ (such as Dita Von Teese) to feature in its shows before, Christian Louboutin is the cabaret’s first ‘guest creator’.

Fans of either French cultural icons – Louboutin or Crazy Horse Paris – will love this irreverent, surreal and saucy show, screening in eye-popping 3D.
