Australian Pain Management Association screening of Ambrosia
Australian Pain Management Association (APMA) proudly presents a special screening of the Australian movie Ambrosia to raise funds to support vital services for people living with severe pain.
Winner of the Special Jury prize in the 2015 International The Gulf of Naples Independent Film Festival, this movie tells the story of a young woman who travels with friends back to her childhood home to ease her pain following an accident. Here she meets a new friend and through this, the friends confront tragedies of the past. Filmed in the beautiful South Coast of NSW, this movie was written, directed and shot by Rhiannon Bannenberg who has first hand experience of living with chronic pain.
APMA supports the 1 in 5 Australians living with persistent pain. It is run by a team of dedicated volunteers and receives no government funding. APMA develops resources, provides a telephone helpline, facilitates pain support groups and advocates for those who live with pain on a daily basis.
