Addict, Addiction and Finding Hope in Despair Workshop

Hi my name is Doy and I’m a professional Emergency Relief support worker. I have a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology) and Bachelor of Business. My experience includes 3 years volunteer work with both the Wesley Mission Emergency Relief and the Mater South Brisbane Hospital. I’m starting a group dedicated to helping not only you but those close to you in any lost hope situations.

This can range from addictions, blame, lost of control, feeling of purposeless, homelessness, depression, inability to communicate to close others and anything else in life that becomes a challenge to deal with (maybe even dating). Each month I will be running a workshop design to help anyone who has questions about dealing with life’s challenges. Workshop includes how to take back control, how to identity the “real” problems, working towards building a network of ideas and solutions to any life challenges.

This program is design for everyone who has an open mind and wants answers that can be difficult to find. It is design for those believe in God and those who do not. I will not be treating any medical problems or provide medical professional advice but will have many links, referrals and services for access. If you have ever felt hopeless or powerless to change or help those you love, I can assure you after attending a workshop or two you will have the knowledge and tools to make small changes that will bring hope to the hopeless.

The 1st workshop will be held at the Wesley Mission Emergency Relief on the 14th April 2016. 316 St Pauls Terrace Fortitude Valley from 6:30pm till 9:30 pm. Space is limited to 25 as I like to run some support workshop activities and role play exercise. You are encouraged to bring your stories but are not obligated to share anything your not comfortable with. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me on 0431310324. I intend to run regular workshop once a month on every 2nd week of the month.

This month topic is Addict, Addiction and Finding Hope in Despair (core program)
It will cover blame, control, forgiveness, relationships, methods of dealing with challenges, finding the real problem, how to look for answers, the services available and things you can do to take make the change.
