A Tender Thing

Occurs every week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday

"Is love a tender thing? It is too rough, too rude, too boisterous, and it pricks like thorn."

Ben Power’s remix of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is an achingly beautiful story of two older lovers.

Commissioned and premiered by the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2009, and featured at the World Shakespeare Festival at Stratford in September last year, this 90 minute work for two actors is a provocative new tale of love and sacrifice.

Beautifully crafted by British playwright Ben Power, it celebrates Shakespeare's relevance to a contemporary audience. This local production brings this new and exciting play to an Australian audience

Also suitable for a schools audience, school years 10 through to 12. An ideal play to enhance the study of Romeo and Juliet. An education pack is available if required.
