Society has embraced the need for the more efficient use of energy in daily life. Lighting is a significant component of our energy consumption; there have been a number of efforts to develop alternatives to the incandescent light bulb and the popular high intensity halogen lamp. The most common of which has been the fluorescent light source, initially presented as tubes and lately in its compact form for light bulb replacements.
In 2006 the principals of LED Lights DownUnder recognised these issues and took up the concept of LED lighting. They have developed exclusive working relationships with 4 key Chinese manufacturers to develop products specifically for Australia. These companies are significant developers of LED lighting technologies and with their product development they have also developed manufacturing processes, which satisfy international requirements for quality and consistency.
