Hair Follicle Alcohol & Drug Testing
After 30 years of pioneering research, Psychemedics has developed research backed methods of accurately measuring drug and alcohol deposits in hair follicle samples.
Hair follicle testing is a method where a sample of a persons hair is sent to a laboratory to detect the present of Alcohol and Drugs.
The technology capitalises on the way the body metabolises ingested drugs and alcohol as they flow through the bloodstream and deposit in the cortex of the hair. Hair is stable, and the deposits are permanently embedded in the hair, so hair acts like a tape recorder — “recording” drug and alcohol deposits in proportion to the use of drugs and alcohol over time.
