My name is Yang Xu and I am a maths tutor for students in Brisbane. I mainly help students in the first two years of university who may need assistance in forming a strong mathematical foundation and also help high school students especially in their last three years in preparing to get into university.
I have had 3 years of experience tutoring maths and have tutored over 30 students. I currently tutor many students in Maths B. However I have tutored students studying statistics in psychology, financial mathematics in MBA courses and students studying high school maths bridging courses.
I have graduated from The University of Melbourne with my Bachelor of Commerce with Honours degree majoring in Actuarial Studies. In actuarial studies I studied pure and actuarial mathematics along with probability and statistics. I have also worked as an Actuarial Analyst with my acquired math skills so I know how maths can be used in reality.
I enjoy coaching and tutoring. I find a deep level of satisfaction in supporting students in achieving their best in their tests and exams. I aim to save students time by helping them develop a solid maths foundation and then once they have this they have the choice of accelerating their progress in their course.
