Rachelle Hare and Shannon Drew each have 25+ years inside the construction industry. Together, they have 50+ years of experience and have worked with 2,000+ construction businesses across their careers.

Their combined experience allows Blaze Business & Legal to work across the legal, commercial, financial, structural, governance, operational and compliance dimensions of a construction business. This integrated approach is particularly valuable when a contract issue, project problem or business decision affects more than one part of the business.

Rachelle Hare is a Construction Lawyer, Commercial Manager and Business Adviser. She has 25+ years as a front-end Construction Lawyer in top-tier law firms and in-house with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Construction Contractors and Commonwealth clients. Her experience includes acting as General Counsel at Thiess and Defence Housing Australia, with CASG and the Australian Government Solicitor (AGS), paired with six years working full-time as a Commercial Manager on major Australian construction and ICT projects.

Rachelle advises Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers and Trade Contractors on construction contracts, Construction Project Delivery, claims, project delivery methods, procurement, commercial strategy, risk, cost recovery, Variation management, negotiation, contract drafting, business structuring and director duties, Commercial Law, Leases, Shareholders Agreements, plus must more.

Shannon Drew is a Management Accountant, Virtual CFO and Business Adviser with 25+ years inside the construction industry. His work includes project profitability and cost analysis, overhead recovery, pricing strategy, cash flow modelling and forecasting, WIP reporting, budget versus actual analysis, financial modelling, operational advisory and Business Advisory.

Blaze Business & Legal also helps construction businesses assess and prepare for the opportunities and risks created by Brisbane 2032 and the wider Queensland construction market. This includes businesses considering direct Games work, major Subcontract packages, Olympic-adjacent projects and other Queensland construction opportunities as industry capacity is drawn towards Brisbane 2032.
