The Relaxation Course offers an opportunity to acquire knowledge and techniques for relaxation and how tointegrate these practices into daily life.
The course will draw on the techniques of the traditional Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) and scientific evidencefrom psychology and modern medicine.
Just as an athlete who sprints with relaxed muscles is able to produce better results than competing with tensed muscles, so can we in this super fast 21st Century get more out of life with a tension free body & mind.
The weekly sessions will systematically offer relaxation techniques including simple breathing and stretching exercises. Each week will also include The Yogic Philosophy underlying each of the techniques which will assist you in developing a deeper understanding of the practices and how to manage stress.
The 3 weeks will cover:
In lesson 1 (Letting Go ) you will be taken through a process of relaxing the tissues of the body. It sounds very simple but this is VITAL for the purpose of allowing a state of balance to be attained by releasing stress from body & mind.
In Lesson 2 (The Key to Your Wellbeing ) you will be guided through a deep breathing procedure, allowing you to practice deep diaphragmatic breathing. Deep Breathing is one of the most powerful yet simple tools for Stress Management.
In Lesson 3 (Feel Free and Peaceful ) you will be guided through a counting and breathing exercise which will help to relax the body, still the mind and promote a sense of peace and well-being.
