The Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries (DPI&F) has a vision of profitable primary industries for Queensland, and supports strategic industry development at all stages of the industry lifecycle and throughout the entire value chain from production to consumption. The department's mission is to maximise the economic potential for Queensland primary industries on a sustainable basis. It delivers this through four major outputs: industry development, biosecurity, forestry and fisheries.
