I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience. I  have worked in private practice and public and corporate mental health spheres.

My focus is on resolving past and current issues and developing awareness and resilience so that a person or couple can cope and adjust during times of impasse or transition.  I respect and accommodate the fact that every person is unique. I aim to facilitate insight (mindsight) and develop the skills required to change recurrent patterns of unhelpful behaviour and thinking, thereby reducing distress and dissatisfaction.

I work with adults, couples and families presenting with a wide range of clinical concerns. My areas of interest and experience include the following:

  • Anxiety and anxiety disorders.
  • Trauma and childhood trauma.
  • Loss and grief.
  • Self-esteem and confidence issues.
  • Relationship breakdown.
  • Acculturation issues.
  • Expat and relocation issues.
  • Existential issues.
  • Occupational burnout.
  • Health and wellbeing.
  • Family therapy.
  • Couples Counselling.

I am skilled in helping Couples with the following:

  • Unyielding Relational Patterns.
  • Communication Skills.
  • Strengthening Connection.
  • Lack of fulfilment
  • Transitional and life-stage issues.

Previously in my career, I lectured at the University of South Africa and practised as a registered Counselling Psychologist.  I later registered and practised with a Clinical Psychology endorsement in New Zealand as well as in Australia. I have authored and presented numerous workshops and colloquia and am the author of the self-help book “The Story-Telling Solution To Low Self-Esteem”.

I am registered to provide clinical and counselling psychology services with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
