Bad Boys and Mean Girls: Why do we love the villains, floozies and cads?

Join us for the first of our popular public discussions in 2014 where we will explore why we love the villainous characters in fiction and in real life and why composers like Verdi have written some of the most sublime arias to texts that are most unsavoury.

The forum will be moderated by writer and broadcaster Martin Buzacott with guest panellists including OperaQ Artistic Director, Lindy Hume and Chief Conductor of Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Johannes Fritzsch and featuring performances by artists participating in Opera Queensland's forthcoming production of Rigoletto.
