The Queensland Veterans Athletics Club was formed in 1973 to enable mature athletes to compete at their own levels. Today the club is now known as the Queensland Masters Athletics Association Inc. This was approved in 1998. New uniforms were adopted in 2000. Membership starts at 30 years, for pre-vets, through to 100+ (if you make it). Competition is in 5 year age brackets.e.g. M40 - 44, W55 - 59. The club currently has over 500 members from all walks of life, from all parts of Queensland and northern New South Wales
