Catholic Welfare Australia

The mission of Catholic Welfare Australia is to promote and advance the ministry of Catholic social welfare as part of the core mission of the Church to be a sign of God's kingdom in the modern world. It achieves this mission by interacting with Catholic welfare organisations, governments, other churches, public institutions, business and all people of good will through development of policies and programs that enhance the inherent dignity of each person. Catholic Welfare Australia is the peak body that represents the social welfare apostolate of the Catholic Church at the national level. It is a national Federation of Catholic social service organisations that operate in local communities.
